Sage Roots 1: Yoga + Ayurveda is one of two modules that make up The Sage Yoga Teacher Training Program’s 200 hour foundational yoga teacher training. Students who take this module, or spoke, along with Sage Roots 2: Yoga + Tantra (100hrs) may be certified at the 200 hour level through the international directory of Yoga Alliance. The goal of this program is to give students the necessary practices, theories, and terminology that form the core of Tantric Hatha Yoga. Students will be exposed to a set of foundational practices that go deeper and beyond most yoga school foundational training programs.
The key areas of focus for Sage Roots 2: Yoga + Tantra include: 1) Self care practices – the importance of one’s daily rhythm, spiritual practices, and basic lifestyle habits, 2) Breath – an overview, elaboration on, and deepening of the foundational breathing practices of tantric hatha yoga & the Himalayan Sage tradition, 3) Harnessing the mind – practical methodology via meditation, mantra, and breath for stabilizing and sharpening mental acuity, 4) Ayurveda – intro to and overview of this sister science of yoga for support, healing, and enhancing one’s practices, and 5) Developing a practice – understanding how nature and the elements effect our body and mind, and how to develop your own practices for self care, balance and transformation…
The biggest take away from this particular course is to guide students toward living Ayurveda and to develop & sustain personal home practices that connect them to a successful life & empowered sense of Self.

Overview of The Sage Yoga Teacher Training Programs
The Sage Yoga Teacher Training Program is a Yoga Alliance certified yoga training rooted in The Himalayan Sage Tradition. Offered through The Wild Temple School of Yoga + Herbal Wisdom and taught by Brooke Shannon Sullivan, this is a unique and powerful program that weaves ancient techniques of the living tradition of Himalayan sages into the modern mind and life. Drawing from Yoga Science, Tantric Philosophy, and Botanical Wisdom, this program offers a profoundly integrative and deep training. The program starts with foundational studies that guide each student deeply (as well as safely and effectively) toward becoming advanced practitioners. The Sage Yoga Teacher Training Program teaches about love, faith, and power in a non-dogmatic format, where interactive discussions are the highlight and students discover and begin to embody what is True for them (in relation to topics such as power, oneness, fear, the monkey mind, dharma or one’s life path, right/wrong, emotional and physical health, etc…). The practices and course topics are designed to awaken each student’s own inner teacher and empowered self, leading them into successful lives with rich relationships, and with the strength to shift unhealthy habits and an increased capacity for patience, love, & compassion. The Sage Yoga Teacher Training Program is dedicated to anyone interested in self-transformation through the yogic path and/or becoming a yoga teacher.
“With individual support and the company of like minds, the Sage Yoga Teacher Training Program will guide you towards your own growth and evolution while deepening relationships to both your inner and outer world.”
