About this Retreat
Details of this retreat
Give yourself a week to slow down, listen and meet what is ready to be seen. This retreat brings together ceremony rooted in Amazonian tradition, steady one-on-one support and the quiet of our sanctuary on the Naranjo River, eight miles from Manuel Antonio.
The group is kept to 16 participants at most, and the whole retreat center is yours for the week.
Three nights of ceremony
Three plant medicine ceremonies are held in our octagon fire temple and guided by Celina De Leon and Taita Juan Bautista Agreda Chindoy, who together bring more than 50 years of experience. Between ceremonies the days open up: sleep, swim, write, or simply be quiet.
Space to understand what arises
Individual counseling sessions and group integration circles help you make sense of each ceremony. After you return home, you can schedule integration support whenever you need it.
Held by the rainforest
Mornings begin with optional yoga and meditation in the open-air shala. You will swim in the river, walk to a rainforest waterfall, spend a day at Manuel Antonio beach, and share fresh, farm-to-table meals with a group that quickly starts to feel like family.
Your facilitators
Celina De Leon
Founder and director, Circle of Sacred Nature Church
Celina has guided thousands of people from all over the world through ceremonial experiences since 2010. Her work draws on more than 20 years with Amazonian plant medicine and a foundation in yoga, meditation and Ayurveda.
As an apprentice of Taita Juan Bautista Agreda Chindoy, leader of the Kamëntšá Indigenous people of Colombia, her ceremonial practice is grounded in a traditional lineage. She is a Stanford graduate and a Fulbright scholar, holds a Master of Divinity from the Graduate Theological Union, and has trained in spiritual care through chaplaincy.

Getting Here
Directions
We include a complimentary group shuttle from SJO to Posada Natura for all of our retreat participants. The shuttle will depart SJO at 12 noon on the first day of the retreat. If this does not work for you, below is a list of additional ways to get to Posada Natura.
Taxi: A taxi will cost $150. You can take any orange/red taxi outside of the airport, these are official taxis and are safe. Or we can arrange for one of our local taxi drivers to pick you up. The drive will take anywhere from 2.5-4 hours depending on traffic.
Rental Car: If you choose to rent a car, we recommend that you do it online ahead of time. Also it’s a good idea to call your credit card company and have them send you a copy of the Damage & Collision waiver. This will wave the extra insurance fee that car rental companies charge in Costa Rica. Making your reservation online in advance will also save you a large expense. There is plenty of space for you to park on our property.
Travel by Air: From San Jose International Airport you can fly to Quepos on Sansa Airlines. These flights usually cost $90-$120. You will need to coordinate your main international flight separately from the Sansa flight through their website. Sansa only flies a few times per day so make sure to coordinate your international and local flight accordingly to ensure that they will work together. Posada Natura is located just 15 minutes from the Quepos airport and we will arrange a taxi to pick you up.
