- Five Oaks
- 1 Bethel Rd, Paris, On
- Sep 27, 2017 (1 day)
Grandmothers’ Tea brings Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal grandmothers together to build bridges between the two cultures.
Grandmothers’ Teas are times of quiet sharing, with each person in the circle getting a chance to talk or ask questions and, most importantly, to respectfully listen to one another’s stories of life. As people listen, they learn from one another.
Participants bring a dish or desert, with lunch at noon. It is followed by a topic of conversation from 1 to 2 pm.
Organized by Nations Uniting, Five Oaks is thankful to be able to be a hosting site. In this video you can learn of the history of the Teas, and the experiences of participants. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dl1QOLMTGS8
