About this Retreat
Allison Eaton is an international teacher of yoga, Reiki and meditation. She teaches yoga teacher trainings and Reiki (hands-on healing) certification trainings worldwide. Allison is the author of the Yandara Asana Manual and the Reiki Flow Manuals. She is a devotional singer and musician and is featured in the guided meditation CD, “Sat Nam.”
Allison is known to draw the authentic self out of her students, empowering them to practice and teach from the heart. Her teaching style is supported by extensive background training in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Iyengar and Bhakti Yoga and meditation. A healthy balance of Yang Flow Yoga and Yin Restorative Yoga is a central focus of her trainings at Yandara.
Meditation is integrated through Allison’s teachings. During the teacher training, she introduces various methods of meditation, including vipassana and mindfulness meditation, walking meditation, chakra meditation, pranayama (breath meditation), mudra (hand gestures) and chanting. Tai Chi and Chi Gong influence the movement meditations that she offers.
Allison is eternally grateful for her teachers Biff Mithoefer (Yin Yoga), Jai Uttal (Bhakti Yoga), Shiva Rea (Vinyasa Flow Yoga), Peter Sterios (Gravity and Grace Yoga), Chuck Miller (Sama Ashtanga Yoga), Sant Rajinder Sing Ji Maharaj (Surat Shabd Meditation), Dr. Robert K. Hall (Vipassana and Dharma Meditation), Kevin Durkin (Senior Iyengar Teacher and Yoga Therapist), Victor Oppenheimer (Senior Iyengar Teacher), Corrin Adams (Hatha Yoga) and Sandy Call of Yoga Fit (Hatha Yoga).
As a Reiki Master Teacher, Allison also offers Reiki sessions and Reiki Certification Training at Yandara. See “Reiki” page for more information.
