About this Retreat
Johnny grew up in a small town in Canada. As a young boy, he was able to see the world in a different way than most, seeing peoples auras and connecting with subtle energies that filled the air. At age 13 he was introduced to marijuana, which revealed to him this world of altered states of consciousness and accessing spiritual realms through plants. He then began to treat this medicine as a drug, which encouraged many years of deep suffering, rooted from childhood traumas and ancestral wounds. At the age of 25 he followed an inner voice to South America. A solo three-month trip changed the course of his life, which included living with an Amazonian indigenous tribe, experiencing solitude and partaking in various plant medicine ceremonies throughout Columbia, Ecuador & Peru.
Now with more hope in his life, Johnny stayed connected to plant medicine, returning to the amazon and eventually seeking out Iboga. After one ceremony, he experienced wonderful inner changes. Now a father, he knew that he needed to take a new life direction. Johnny dedicated himself as a student under various experts within African, Celtic and Native American healing practices. He dedicated himself as a student of the medicine. During a self-guided ceremony, the spirit of Iboga told him that he was now ready to work with the medicine to help others. He began facilitating one on one ceremonies, which would slowly develop in time to larger in depth retreats.
Johnny is proud to represent the spirit and nature of this medicine, guiding others through their experience and making sure that they get the most from their time with it. Combined with his other healing skills, such as NVC, breathwork and intuitive energy healing, he brings a unique approach to this work.
Geraldine grew up in Ireland and moved to Canada when she was 20.
It was in Toronto where she met her life partner Johnny. This relationship in many ways triggered the start of her spiritual growth, causing her to now face her unhealed childhood traumas and ancestral wounds. As the years went on more layers of her shadows would surface, forcing her to continue on her healing path.
Geraldine was relentless, seeking out as much help as she could find, working with medicine men in the amazon, various healers in the west and doing as much personal inner work as she could.
Now a mother, Geraldine’s shadows began to surface on yet another level. She began working with Iboga and immediately noticed big changes in her life. She travelled to the source of the medicine in Gabon, and received her initiation and rights of passage from the Bwiti tribe. She continued to work with the medicine on her own and had many breakthroughs, finally getting to the source of her issues.
Johnny and Geraldine began facilitating Iboga ceremonies one on one, which would slowly develop over the years to larger in depth retreats. Now, this emotionally and spiritually developed woman stands to help others in overcoming the same darkness that she went through, fully utilizing all of her experience with the medicine and from all the other tools she learned along her path.
