About us

We all have our own personal darkness: anxiety, depression, loss, trauma, and everyday trials and tribulations. While we are not defined by our darkness, it does cast a shadow over our Soul. As the ancients have said, the only way out is through. We must work through our issues and fully process the affects of life’s darkness. Like the lotus, we have the unique opportunity to move through the proverbial mud and grow toward the Light. Within us, there is this teacher that can lead us, a dispeller of darkness, also known as inner Guru. Through the yogic practices of purification, self-inquiry, and surrender to a higher power, we can heal ourselves from the inside out. We can access our inner Guru for self-healing, personal growth, and transformation. Like a diamond in the rough, we all want to shine through and share our Light with the world.

While the drug companies and mental health fields flood the market with medication and expensive therapies, there are many ancient yogic techniques and practices that can help combat symptom of depression and anxiety without negative and damaging side affects. This informative, experiential, and transformative weekend will teach you about the signs and symptoms of depression and anxiety as well as teach you skills for symptom management and deep inner healing within the context of a yoga practice. Through asana, pranayama, meditation, group process, philosophical discussion, and connecting with Nature, learn how to access your inner Guru to help navigate through your personal darkness and into the all-encompassing Light.
