And you, if you can’t leave your country, you could go into yourself,
And become a ruby mine, open to the gifts of the sun.
We all wish to belong and we all face moments of exile or loneliness that make belonging difficult. In those moments we feel cut off, as if the sun no longer warms our way. Yet hidden deep within those most alienating moments is a gorgeous mine filled with gems — the gems of self-regard, meaning, and wisdom.
In this mindful exploration, we will journey back into ourselves to uncover the myths we hold about loneliness and belonging, the capacity to hold steady, and the rubies of wisdom ready to be uncovered. We will come, beautifully and paradoxically, into ourselves in order to belong again to the larger world.
If loneliness concerns you or someone you care for, if belonging is complicated, or if you are simply ready for a deeper connection to yourself and the meaning of your life, come join us! Through meditation, play, and the principles of positive psychology we will enjoy a restful and re-invigorating time out of time together!
Tuition is $250 plus accommodations.
