Hridaya Meditation for Children and Parents in the USA

About us

Adina is sharing a new series of Hridaya Meditation classes and workshops dedicated to the community of children and parents around the Sanctuary on 8th Street, a place of welcome and safety for children and teens living in marginalized neighborhoods and concentrated poverty in the city. The program will continue with the collaboration of our committed judge at the City Court of Jacksonville, the Juvenile Justice and Youth Services, and the Juvenile Detention Center. The meditation classes are offered free by Satya Sattva Studio, Amelia Island. Satya Sattva has joined the positive mentoring and enrichment activities at the Sanctuary to provide a safe haven and academic remediation to a young population in need. They offer their service with loving kindness in the spirit of Karma Yoga to support at-risk populations in need of recovery and rehabilitation.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

I am an oncology nurse and a few long time patients have died recently. I need to rejuvenate and return to my breath! Elizabeth

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
