About This Event

Do we recognize suffering in all of its layers: personal, interpersonal, social, and in the Dhamma-essence of becoming?

Are the forces of hunger, the mechanisms of clinging, and the blinding power of ignorance intimately felt and carefully considered in our actual lives?

What do cessation, dispassion, and peace mean for us and are they real possibilities?

And this fourth truth, the Noble Eightfold Path: Has it become trivialized into a formula? If so, how does it become embodied and alive?

Insight Dialogue seeks to effect the bringing of Dhamma to life in the body, the heart, as intuitive wisdom. The power of the practice emerges as we steep in the Dhamma together, cultivating mindfulness and concentration, which allows us to harness the power of spiritual friendship and shared wisdom. This retreat will interweave meditating in dialogue with silent meditation to support ease and deep insight. There will be a particular emphasis on the integration of meditation practice into our moment to moment experience as we move through the entire retreat.

This retreat is open to anyone, including beginners to Insight Dialogue, with at least two weeks of silent retreat experience.

      Wakeful teacher in all experiences

I worked with Gregory on helping build a website and even during mundane conversations on the phone he was transmitting authentic presence. He was always bringing back the view of wakefulness in everyday life. I really appreciated this and hope to attend a longer retreat with him some day.

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
