What is Pranayama? (Prana- means the finest vital force of Air energy -Ayama-means discipline practice of  Breathing control of 5 different types of life energy force means restraint of vital energies).So Pranayama is “Control of vital energy which tingles through the nerves of every person.The Yogis by persistent effort in concentration get the different Yogic power that is known as Siddhis, and the person who acquires Siddhis, known as Siddhas.And the process through they obtain siddhis called Sadhana. Pranayama is one of the most important Sadhanas.Through the practice of Asana, you can the Physical body and through Pranayama you can control the subtle, astral body or the Linga Sarirah.As there is an intimate connection between the breath and nerve-currents, control of breath leads to the control of vital inner currents.

The prana is the very essence of cosmic life.For anyone serious about yoga, breathing is an essential technique- and a pranayama course is an ideal way of training yourself in this technique. Pranayama class or course involves gaining a deeper awareness of your breathing, learning about the mechanics behind breathing, and finally becoming master over your breath, and utilizing it to take your yoga to the next step.

Our Rishikesh yoga teacher training – pranayama courses are fairly intensive, since breathing is so important when it comes to yoga and meditation. You will certainly be put through your paces, as pranayama requires you to get to the very heart of yourself in order to master this most basic of bodily functions.       Great teachers and place

    It is very tricky to find a good school looking on internet as the descriptions are mostly very abstract. So I try to highlight the concrete things. The yoga shala is on the upper floor and has big windows on 2 walls and the great views to the mountains. The teachers are young and very energetic. I liked a lot that our asana teachers did not waste time on long talks and spent time very efficiently showing the alignment and making us to work. So to me personally teachers and the location of the yoga shala was the top. Another thing is that it is run by family and friends and they all are very knowledgeable young Indians and very dedicated. I noticed there are two types of ashrams - some very silent and you have to whisper when inside and some are more dynamic. This one is more dynamic cause the type of yoga - vinyasa and ashtanga attracts many youngsters. Thus the atmosphere is more lax, lots of laugh and jokes also together with teachers. Another good thing is that it is somewhat up on the mountain. Before coming to India I did not know the roads are so dusty and was really happy to find out the ashram is far away from the dust. The school is located just at the banks of the very busy small river. I am not sure if it is upside or a downside - many people told they are very happy to hear this natural waterfall sound. But keep in mind the sound is really strong, I personally had to use the earplugs to fall asleep. The food is nothing special - the same as in all India: rice, chapati and overcooked vegetables made in aluminium pots and lots of sauces. The cooks are very nice guys and they reacted very fast when we asked to introduce the fruits to get some vitamins. Later we found out that close to the school are some organic restaurants with much more variety and were filling our stomachs there instead. After all I think it is a very good school, since the sound and food are the secondary elements and you can find easy solutions for it. It is in the cleaner area than lots of other Rishikesh schools - this is very important cause you will take lots of oxygen in you this month. And teachers are just unbeatable. If you want to learn, highly recommended.

      Best Yoga Teacher Training and Retreat place in Rishikesh

    I did 100 Hour yoga Retreat in June."if you are looking for a more authentic Indian feel then this is the right place the guy that runs the place is amazingly welcoming and accommodating. Close to the mountains and walk-able distance to nearby market and nearest touristic attraction Laxman Jhoola. Yoga and meditation classes are great! This ashram is amazing (Rishikesh), it's not super strict, the food is AMAZING, the yoga room/restaurant is just perfect, the asana teachers Yashpal and Rajesh are both super experienced and full of knowledge that they are trying to give us in a very short amount of time.Sarvottam is one of the kindest people I've ever met, helped with everything we needed and patiently brought us to a state where we could actually enjoy a meditation.He is like a living encyclopedia, no need for google anymore! Full of love kindness and knowledge of philosophy and life in general. If you are looking for a high class Ashtanga & vinyasa yoga teacher training, for a place where you can reflect and learn about the real yoga practice, some time to find out who you really are and soaking in the energy that surrounds those people at Mantra Yoga & Meditation, It is Joint venture ashram with Rishikesh vinyasa yoga school,then this is the place! " "I will definitely come back here if I will do my 200-hours teacher training in the next couple of years! I heard the school in Daramasala is very special too, can't wait to find out:)"

      This school truly changed my life

    It might sound like a cliche, but my time at this school truly changed my life. The place is quiet, clean and comfortable. The teachers are wise, helpful and kind. The food is delicious! No one single class started late, changed or was cancelled. Every single issue and request from the students were attended by the members of the staff with a big smile. Joining the Yoga Teacher Training course has been by far the best decision I've taken in a long time.
