About us

Registration for this retreat is now closed.

This four-day immersion in Dzogchen, Tibetan Buddhism’s “Great Perfection,” will explore both the fundamental view as well as meditations that power insights that cut through the fog of illusory appearances to pristine awareness.

Teaching sessions in the morning, afternoon, and evening introduce practical meditation instruction and provide tips suitable for all levels of practitioners.  We will outline this exhilarating philosophy of consciousness.

The progression includes practices that are aimed both at developing stability and vividness of attention (shamatha) as well as insights that reveal the relationship of the inner and outer worlds (vipashyana).

Ample time is scheduled throughout the day for individual practice so that what you learn can be integrated and taken home with you.

Topics include: Adding a Mute Switch to the Ruminating Mind with Breath Meditation; Structures of Consciousness; Taking Mental Appearances as the Object of Meditation; Can “I” Be Found; The Empty Nature of the Mind; and Cutting Through to Pristine Awareness.
