About us

The 500 hrs yoga teacher training in India aims to take your passion for learning authentic traditional yoga forward. The base yoga style of the course is Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow. However, the course will also give you a taste of many different styles of Yoga (Hatha, Restorative, Yin etc.) as well as include subjects like Pranayama, Kriyas and meditations. You will also receive an in-depth study of yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology.

In the 500 hrs course, students will firstly be participating in a 200hrs course which is organized in Dharamsala or Goa centers, followed by the 300 hrs course. This 500 hours Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training Course is accredited with Yoga Alliance US and Yoga Alliance Professionals(Formerly Yoga Alliance UK).

Course Objectives

The Course is an extensive course designed to nurture your passion for learning authentic traditional yoga. The course which is suited for Yoga students of all levels, aims to guide students on different yoga related subjects to deepen their insight and approach to yogic living. Subjects like meditation, yogic breathing techniques (Pranayama), yogic cleansing (kriyas), Mantra Chanting(Bhakti Yoga), Yoga anatomy and physiology are extensively practiced. Hence, the course offer a perfect balance of the physical and the philosophical aspects of yoga.

To participate in the training, we need students to have at least 3 months of yoga practice. The first part of the training will be their participation in either 200 hrs Ashtanga Teacher Training or 200 hours Multi-style Teacher Training in Dharamsala. This 200 hrs training will be followed by 300 hours Yoga Teacher Training in India. After successfully completing both the courses, one will receive a 500 hrs certificate of completion.

I had a wonderful and very intense time at Abhinam Yoga Center. Surrounded by a beautiful environment and lovely fellow future yogis Abhinam gave me the opportunity to grow a lot this past month. I am really thankful for everything I have learned from the whole Abhinam Team; they are all teaching from their hearts and in every class shared their unique energy with all of us. Also the school facilitates the knowledge it needs to continue the yogic path afterwards; they give recommendations for inspiring books and occasionally share articles from their personal lecture. Also the food and accommodation was fantastic. Every day they serve sattvic food: a combination of rice, dahl, cooked vegetables and fresh salad so your body gets the necessary support for the practice and is not too busy with heavy digestion. 11.00 am - 1.00 pm : Theory: Yoga Philosophy / Anatomy and Physiology

3.00 pm - 5.00 pm : Workshops On Teaching Methodology; Alignment and Adjustment
5.00 pm - 7.00 pm : Evening Asana Practice Class
7.00 pm - 8.00 pm : Meditation
8.00 pm - 9.00 pm : Dinner

Directions

The closest railway stations to Morjim are Pernem and Madgaon on the Konkan Railways. Parnem is closer and one can reach the school by taking a bus to Morjim and getting of at Raj Supermarket bus stand. Madgaon is an hour away, one may hire a taxi or use local bus service to reach Morjim. Alternatively, Goa’s Dabolim airport is around one and a half hours away from Morjim, and a taxi to Morjim may be hired from the airports Pre-Paid service.
