This winter I invite you to join me for a weekend of yoga and meditation practices. As winter begins its descent into spring, it is a time for rebalancing and refocussing our energies. My retreat weekend is designed to re-set, replenish and re-energise, so that we can bounce unencumbered into Spring!
Over the weekend there will be 5 yoga sessions (a mixture of dynamic vinyasa, restorative and nidra), guided meditations and walking in the beautiful Chiltern Hills.
Imagine returning from a bracing walk through sunlit trails, complete with chilly fingers and pink noses, to tea and cake by a roaring fire. The serene stillness at the end of a challenging yoga class in the main hall, complete with warm wood floors and panelled walls, morning sun streaming through the windows. Cosy meditation in the library. Delicious nourishing food and friendly chatter over dinner. Imagine returning to your room for a peaceful night’s sleep away from it all, waking up to birdsong and nothing to do but simply relax and enjoy…
Our base for the weekend is a beautiful and rambling estate in the Chiltern Hills (an AONB), dating back to the sixteenth century. The historic house stands in 12 acres of grounds in an area of great scenic beauty and abundant wildlife. The rural tranquillity of the Chilterns, combined with a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, make for the perfect retreat venue.
A range of eclectically furnished and cosy rooms are available, with en-suite and with tea and coffee making facilities.
Expect delicious home-cooked vegetarian meals made using fresh local ingredients (many of which are sourced from the walled garden on the estate). Homemade biscuits and cake accompany morning and afternoon tea breaks, so I will be sure to add an extra vinyasa or two to your yoga practise. ;)
