The Mindful Cook Retreats
Fancy spending two days away in a beautiful place discovering how you can eat cake, be healthy and re-set your relationship with food?

The Mindful Cook retreats are based in the kitchen, but are not a traditional cookery course. You will definitely learn, through demonstrations and taking part in simple food preparation, how to create healthy dishes that you can recreate at home. You will leave with a folder stuffed full of recipes and inspiration. But that’s not all! You will get some practical advice and guidance on how to apply Mindfulness to your eating habits and an opportunity to re-think your relationship with food.
The weekend will feature some creative foodie activities, the chance to taste some new flavours and to share wholesome meals in great company. It will get you thinking about your own experiences with food and how food features in your life. But don’t worry! We won’t be stroking a pear for hours on end, this retreat is designed to provide you with realistic, usable techniques that you can use every day.
This retreat is based at a stunning venue, immersed in the Norfolk countryside and 4 miles from the coast. You will get to take time out in a beautiful place, get inspired, leave the retreat with the recipes and know-how to recreate some healthy meals at home, and be reset, raring to go!

Venue HighlightsBreathing Space is a beautiful ‘home from home’ parts of which date back to 1735, set in the heart of rural Norfolk. It is a large house still having that warm and cosy ‘feel’ to it with log burning fires and large comfy sofas, set in large grounds with a lake, a lovely tranquil place to sit, relax or stroll.
It is just 4 miles from the coast and right on the beautiful Norfolk Broads. The house is gorgeous, with vaulted ceilings and inglenook fireplaces – you will immediately feel at home. This part thatched house is full of character, and is set in substantial grounds with a lake and wooden cabin where you can sit and stare at the abundant wildlife. It is a 2-minute walk away from the lovely Norfolk Broads and a 5-minute drive to the gorgeous long sandy beaches where the seals live in their natural habitat.

Menu/CuisineAll the food is wholefood and organic where possible. My teaching is based on the principles of food as medicine, Example dishes are:

AccommodationsWe have single, twin and triple rooms, with shared bathrooms. The house has three bathrooms and four toilets. There is one en-suite room which is the triple room, all other rooms share a bathroom. The bathrooms and toilets are located close to all bedrooms.
All rooms have a hairdryer and we provide towels for your stay.
There is wi-fi throughout the main house for all guests to use.
The accommodation includes a luxurious Shepherds Hut within then grounds as a room option.
DirectionsThe venue is 40 minutes by car from Norwich. Norwich is accessible from London by train and then a change out to Acle or Hoveton & Wroxham will bring you within 11 miles of the venue and we can arrange a cab to bring you to us. By car from London is is approx 2 hours
