Yoga and Movement Classes
During this retreat we will explore Maya Yoga and Body Soul Movement as a journey of self-discovery and powerful awakening:
Maya Yoga is a harmonious journey of physical, mental and spiritual practices and techniques to help guide you to happiness and wellbeing. We adhere to the classic principles of the Hatha Yoga* tradition, while enriching our practice with the magic of other yoga methods and philosophy. We work hard for your physical improvement, but, more importantly, we invite your yoga journey to become a spiritual path that will nourish your life with Clarity, Bliss and Infinite Love.
Body Soul Movement (BoSoMo therapy) is flowing, spontaneous and fun - while offering the potential for deep transformation, and emotional-mental-physical balancing. It is a Journey of Healing, Experience, Joy and Creativity.
Body Soul Movement Includes:
- Intense physical exercise to liberate body and mind from pain, past and reaction
- An intensive mind-body work to reach a state of balance
- Living the body through movement
- Dance and improvisation
- Physical theater and voice work
- Self-expression - break down the fear of going out of your comfort zone
First, I ask you to return to yourself, which means:
- Awareness of your own physical body : (anatomy, bone structure, and analysis of movement)
- Awareness of the subtle energy that inhabits it (the meridians of the body)
- Awareness of the close relationship between the physical body and the emotional sphere (how the emotions have a story written in the body)
Second, I invite you to rediscover a state of harmony and balance – physically and mentally – and reawaken your inner ability to heal yourself! Healing is an instinctive animal capability that is inscribed in each of us. It is maintaining balance, and that balance is the natural condition and the original condition of all human beings. Let us call this balance a Natural state of health.
We are not here to learn any new theory. We have collected so many theories that our minds are asleep, numb and unsatisfied. Our minds have lost elasticity and the capacity to be alert, silent and open to pure creation. It is our mind that rules us, and we can easily become victims of its pitfalls!
The Puglian kitchen is famous for its wholesome ingredients, both from the sea and from the earth, simple and flavorful. At La Luna nel Pozzo, you will have the opportunity to sample many of the dishes of the Puglian tradition - dishes of Mediterranean delight.
You will find the colors of the season’s fruits and vegetables, the knowledge of the pastors in the justly-renowned cheeses, olive oils from ancient trees, and artisan sourdough bread made from local, fresh stone-ground flours.
We are in South Italy, in a beautiful area known as the “Valle d’Itria” or the Itria Valley, which is characterized by the Trulli (ancient stone houses with conical roofs). It is immersed in nature and filled with olive, fig, and almond trees, and other wild herbs and plants.
Puglia is a land between two seas, a crossroads of cultures and experiences, come prepared to celebrate the best of each. From mid-April to the end of October the climate is warm and perfect for dancing, breathing, and enjoying the nature!
Beaches are 20 minutes by car. You may visit the riserva di torre guaceto, a wonderful marine reserve within a 25-minute drive. There are plenty of local music, food, art and religious festival and activities to participate in throughout the year.
- Depending on what retreat participants decide, we will have a car onsite that can be hired / rented for 25 euros per day. This is the best way to experience the surrounding areas.
Tours & Activities
- We usually make at least one trip to the beach to enjoy the open space, peaceful and deep energy, and connect with ourselves and each other.
- Depending on the season, there are numerous organized tours and activities that you can book outside of the retreat. The retreat schedule can be modified by group request to take a day off for an optional activity.
Massage treatments are 1 - 1 1/2 hours and tailored to suit your individual needs. Some benefits include:
- restores energy
- deeply relaxing
- balances mind and body
- soothes tension
- leaves you calm and refreshed
Craniosacral Therapy treatments are typically 45 minutes - 1 hour. The subtle power of this technique is likely to surprise you - it works with the body's natural rhythms to influence deep and primary patterns. In this way, it provides a safe container for emotional, mental and even physical issues to resolve

"Yoga Body Soul movement retreat was amazing, interesting, inspiring and unique experience. I was searching for something like this, deep and capable of touching my soul. I feel that something inside of me has changed. Federica is incredible woman and teacher, full of energy, able to feel each one of participants and also all group. She has been great inspiration during all retreat and gave me instruments to go profound. This retreat is the best gift any woman can give to her self." ~Emilija From Italy "Federica's retreat is something extraordinary. Federica is someone extraordinary. I don't know how else to put it. She has a rare intuition and manages to see every single person for who she is. To watch this magic unfold, while being part of it, is unreal. This is so much more than a yoga retreat, although yoga is a big part of it, but expect to nurture your soul as well as your body. We were a large group of ladies who very quickly bonded and dared to open up to each other, and from that and with Federica guiding us, we grew so much. I am determined to keep this with me, being back in my daily life. I am in no doubt that going to Italy for this New Year's retreat, was one of the biggest presents I have ever given myself. The location is fantastic, I loved that we were alone there with no disturbances and still at close proximity to the ever so gorgeous village of Ostuni and the sea. I thought I would have loads of time for book reading and what have we, but days went quickly, with a routine you soon get the hang of and get to enjoy. The food was outstanding and the love that you're embraced with will stay with you. Highest recommendations to anyone open for going that one layer deeper while improving your yoga bod and general health. With love!" ~Pia From Denmark
