Event Highlights

  • Yoga + Experience Belize
  • Minutes after you arrive at the hotel and enjoy a welcome cocktail, you'll begin to sink into the Belize way of life. That is, go with the flow, catch the sun, soak, sip, and just be. In addition to daily yoga, your retreat price includes a full day of cave-tubing in ancient Mayan caves, and a half-day tour of the nearby Altun Ha Mayan ruins. Most of our yoga sessions will be in a stone- and mosaic-filled cottage. Weather allowing, we'll practice at the the Mayan ruins, too! You may book additional excursions or additional spa services through the resort. Available add-on excursions include a medicinal hike, horseback riding, a beach day, snorkeling, scuba diving, and visits to animal sanctuaries. Or, spend your free time lounging at the on-site pools or wandering through the gardens. (Also on site, there's a small private chapel, perfect for meditation. And a hookah lounge!) Keep in mind that this trip is in the middle of the jungle, so yes, there will be insects and exotic plants. If you're looking for a white-glove resort, this may not be the right trip for you. If you're looking to immerse yourself in the natural surroundings of Central America, then you've right the right retreat.

Venue Highlights

Our yoga home at Belize Boutique Resort and Spa is located about 40 miles north of Belize City. A bumpy ride to the middle of nowhere (in a shuttle driven by resort staff), and suddenly, you step into the resort's lush gardens filled with sculptures and walking paths. An open-air lobby is the central point of the property, and this is where we'll eat our dinners as a group, hang out at the bar, log onto free wi-fi, listen to music, and just hang out. Rooms are spread throughout the property, and each one has its own theme and decor. There are two huge swimming pools at the hotel, plus a quaint, solar-heated mineral bath. The on-site spa has open-air massage rooms (and your retreat includes one free 60-minute massage!).
