About us

A Meditation Retreat. Mind Training (Lojong) offers practical and inspiring teachings for cultivating compassion, patience, and perspective. With a particular focus on integrating all of your life’s experiences onto the path of awakening, these pithy teachings help you to bring your practice into your life and develop a greater capacity to feel compassion for yourself and others. In this retreat, you will learn mindfulness meditation and the compassion practice called Tonglen (Sending & Receiving). The retreat will include teachings, guided meditations, and discussion. This retreat is open to everyone. No prior meditation experience required.

“When the world is filled with misery,
transform all adversity onto the path of awakening.”
– Slogan 11 of The Seven Point Mind Training by Chekawa Yeshe Dorje

Suggested Dana: $90 – $120

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
