9 Day Ayahausca, Mushroom, Kambo, and DMT Jungle Retreat

  • Iquitos, Peru
  • Ongoing
  • $950

About us

Our Retreat is located on the black waters of the Yarapa River – a tributary to the Amazon River near Iquitos, Peru. There are no roads connecting Iquitos to the outside world and the only way to get here is by boat or airplane. From Iquitos, the journey to the center – by bus, then by boat – takes approximately 3 hours. The boat ride starts on the Marañón River, crosses the Amazon River, and continues up the Ucayali River before connecting to the Yarapa. The center is a little way down from the where the Yarapa connects with the Cumaceba, giving a beautiful view of the black and brown water confluence.

Arriving at the center you’ll be completely immersed in the Amazon rainforest. We’re surrounded by over 300 acres of preserved, primary Amazon rainforest, beyond that are several thousand acres of protected land close to the Pacaya-Samira National Reserve which is one of the largest protected regions in Peru.

Ceremonies/Shamans

We will be bringing Shipibo Shamans, Elias and Sarah out to conduct our ceremonies and we will sit with them pre ceremony and discuss and answer questions to help us get in the right mind set. The day of our ceremonies, we go out to another Maloka we have that is a five minute walk into the jungle and is completely opened windowed all the way around but also covered in mesquito nets which provides a perfect setting to conduct our ceremonies. We also have bathrooms out next to the maloka if you need them,  The next mornings we will have group shares on our experience and you will be free to share your experience if you feel called to do so. We will also have have facilitators sit with and watch over us as the ceremonies are conducted and if you have any problems, asking for help are why they are there and that will provide the safety and an almost perfect setting to get you in a comfortable mind set.

Cost

The cost for the 9 day retreat is $900 if you find it through this website and is limited to twelve people. This is our first retreat so I appreciate you taking the jump into it and promise you will have the opportunity for one of the best experiences of your life!

Included in $900 price are 2 ayahuasca ceremonies and flower baths with Shipibo shaman, 1 san pedro ceremony, 1 kambo ceremony, 1 pachamama ceremony, jungle tours and survival skill excursions, 8 nights lodging and all food (traditional peruvian cuisine). Additional Aya, Mushroom, San Pedro, Kambo ceremonies and Rapé and Sananga are not included but can be added on for additional charge. Message me for more info.

Being out in the jungle with no cell phone signal or electronics really opened my mind and helped me realize where most of my anxiety and mental discomfort are manifested from. If you suffer from any form of anxiety/depression, or if your mind won't stop racing at night, or you just want to have a mind opening experience and see your life from a better perspective, I think this retreat will work wonders for you as it did me. When i came back from the jungle, my mind was the most crystal clear I can ever remember. I was also able meet some amazing humans and made some amazing connections while I was down there and I am happy to be able to have this opportunity to share that gift with anyone brave enough to take the plunge.

Venue Highlights

Accommodations
Our accommodations are shared jungle lodge cabins with comfortable beds, they are relatively simple (no AC or television) in an amazing location in primary rainforest. Each cabin is partitioned so that you still have your own privacy. Often times monkeys, sloths and other friendly animals come to share the abundant fruit around the lodge. You’ll be immersed in nature while offering plenty of personal space in the large moloka.

Toilets & Showers
We’re sure you’ll be happy to know that we have modern toilets and showers for your pleasure and comfort. There are four toilets and four showers which is more than plenty for a group of no more than twelve.

Maloka
The giant ceremonial maloka is a communal space in all sense of the word. It is where we all eat together at meal times. The many hammocks around the edge provide a perfect place for rest and relaxtion during the day. It is also where we hold our group circles to share our experiences which always creates a deeper connection between the group. And of course, it’s where we hold our amazing and powerful ceremonies in the evening.

Kitchen
Our kitchen staff love that we have a modern kitchen in order to cook you delicious meals throughout your retreat.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Reconnecting with myself after a very crazy few months with a new baby! Just having that feeling of being grounded again. But also having an opportunity to connect with new amazing people. Getting exposed and Inspired by new (to me) yoga instructors (and community). Being in the presence of real, authentic and raw emotion (the whole spectrum).. So many reasons! Alyson

Retreat Guru's Vision

Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
