"Shunyata is not regarded as a religious experience, nor is it regarded as a nontheistic mystical experience. Shunyata is neither religious nor secular. It is not particularly sacred; neither is it profane. It is what it is. However, it covers a lot of ground. It is the first clear thinking and conclusion about reality in the history of the human mind."
--Chögyam Trungpa

Please join us for the next meeting of the book club, focusing on The Individual Path of Liberation, Vol. I of the Profound Treasury of the Ocean of Dharma book series. The Profound Treasury is a collection of teachings compiled from Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche's annual Vajradhatu Seminaries, 3-month practice and study intensives held every summer between 1973-1986.

The book club is open to all, whether or not you have attended previous meetings. However it is advised that you be familiar with the material we will be discussing. For information on the selection for this session, or if you have other questions or suggestions, please contact Michele Laporte at zopa-chodzom@mindspring.com

Feel free to bring a snack to share. Most importantly, please share your clarity, curiosity, and kindness with our noble readers!

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

To drop deep into the practices and connect with my true nature. Rubin

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
