Enlightened Children's Program

About us

The Enlightened Children’s Program will run concurrently with Enlightened Society Assembly at the Shambhala NYC. The children’s program is intended for children of participants of the Enlightened Society Assembly. It will offer to children the Shambhala teachings on basic goodness to participants through play, art, music, community, nature exploration, yoga, meditation and mindfulness, and more.

Age Groups

Children 4-12 are invited to participate.

Teens 13+ who are interested in participating in a mentor program concurrent with the children’s program, please email children@shambhalanyc.org for more information.

If you have children under 4 for whom you will need care during ESA, please email children@shambhalanyc.org with their name(s), age(s), and the day(s)/time(s) you need care. With enough interest, we can arrange care to allow you to participate in ESA.

Whole Family Programming

Inspired by the growing movement to create more “whole family” oriented programming within Shambhala, Shambhala NYC aims to accommodate everyone on the path, including those with children. This Enlightened Children's Program is intended for children of students participating in the Enlightened Society Assembly and preference will be given to children of participants.

If your children are interested to attend, but you are not taking the ESA, please indicate so when registering to be put on a wait list.

  • Full Program (all nine days of the ESA program): $400
  • Full Program Sibling Rate: $320
  • Single Day Rate: $50

To register for single days, please contact the Shambhala NYC Registrar by email registrar@shambhalanyc.org or by calling the front desk (212-675-6544).
