About the Way of Shambhala:

The Way of Shambhala is composed of Shambhala Training Levels I-V, each followed by a five-week In Everyday Life course that expands upon what was offered in the weekend.

Meditation in Everyday Life is the first of the five courses that accompany the Shambhala Training levels. It is recommended either before or after Shambhala Training Level I, or Meditation in Everyday Life can be taken on its own.

Over the course of a year, the Way of Shambhala introduces the entire Shambhala path. This series offers a glimpse of the Shambhala vision of enlightened society by emphasizing the ways in which meditation can impact our daily lives, and from there, how the sanity of meditation can expand to impact our community and our whole society. Please click here for a full description and chart of the Way of Shambhala.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

To be more present and engaged in the world, to be of benefit to others. Vincent

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
