About the Program
The Enlightened Society Assembly is a 9 day gathering of Shambhala warriors to integrate study, practice, and community, and expand our inquisitiveness and understanding of the Shambhala Buddhist teachings. Students will contemplate, practice and manifest the principles of basic goodness in order to create a good human society, and deepen their commitment and intention to manifest basic goodness by taking the Enlightened Society Vow. We will learn and practice the Shambhala Sadhana to support the journey of establishing trust and confidence in the basic goodness of oneself, others and society. We will contemplate how we can embody these principles to further personal and social transformation. This Assembly will focus on how we can create enlightened society on the spot, at home, in our city and nation, and wherever we go
