Turning the Mind Into an Ally

About us

“With an untrained mind, we live most days at the mercy of our moods.  There is a different approach to our lives.  We can wake up to our enlightened qualities: unconditional love and compassion; uninhibited, total ease with ourselves; a clear and sharp mind.”           - Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche

This 5-week workshop offers instruction, practice, and discussion of meditation as a way of seeing the world around us more clearly so we can make our life-choices more brilliantly.

Based on the book "Turning the Mind Into an Ally", by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, these teachings show us how to use skill and compassion to become a friend and ally of our mind’s wild energy.

These teachings are offered to everyone regardless of any previous instruction or practice of meditation.  Participants are asked to attend all 5 classes if possible (please note that on May 12th, class will be held from 10am-5pm).

To support the work of Open Sky, we suggest a contribution to help cover program expenses and overall maintenance, and are happy to accept an offering in any amount that you can afford, either above or below the suggested level. Your financial contribution is not necessary in order to take programs.

Suggested contribution for this program is $50, or your most generous offering based on your situation.
