Shambhala Sadhana

About us

A time for our community to come together to practice the Shambhala Sadhana. All are welcome and encouraged to join, no matter what your level of experience.

The Shambhala Sadhana was written by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche just prior to the conclusion of a year long retreat. The Sakyong composed this practice to deepen our personal and social connection with basic goodness. The Shambhala Sadhana is simple and quite powerful in its direct approach to basic goodness.

We mee to practice the Shambhala Sadhana on the second Monday of every month in Mountain View during our regularly scheduled meditation time.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

I go on retreat to remember who I really am. And I remember that I am alive, Deryk

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
