Tribes of Nothingness - Osho Meditation Camp

  • Facinas, Spain
  • Oct 11 - 18, 2018 (8 days)

About us

This camp is an opportunity to find time and space to go within - coupled with an experience of nature and the delight it can bring, when the bodymind is conscious and the senses are open. The approach is essentially experiential. Everything in the program, in the location, in the accommodations as well as in meals and provisions is designed to bring you back to yourself - loose and natural.

Event Highlights

  • OSHO Meditations and their approach are at the heart of the program of the camp. This methods include physical activity as a first step to help you release the accumulated pressures and tensions that you carry in the body-mind. This first step is a must for modern man before he/she can enter into meditation.
  • In the second step an alive and vibrant silence and relaxation become possible through these methods. We have created a sensibly balanced program for the seven days. They can become a journey of transformation for the participant. There are intensly active parts that help you to confront and change negative live patterns, there is the profound silence that arises out of the meditative group processes helping you to grow roots into a practice. There is also time to rest and integrate. A silent and individual communion with the nature that surrounds you will be the flavor of the camp.

Venue Highlights

Nestled in a Valley about a 20 minute ride northwest of Tarifa the retreat land expands on a 25 hectar plot next to a national park. It is protected from the winds that make the coastline such a favourite destination for kite surfers. There is an abundance of plant life, a river that makes it's way through some gentle curves around the land. A couple of horses roam freely and the guests are provided for from a historic finca at the entrance of the property.

Some of the best fruits and vegetables of Europe are grown in the region where the meditation camp takes place. Only local produce and vegetables will be used to prepare for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is fruit and snacks available between the meals. Our host and cook Neil has over the years found the best organic suppliers in the neighborhood and will go out of his way to create the most nutritious and delicious meals for us. We'd like to keep the food light and easily digestible. All food is Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian and if you let us know in time we can accommodate Vegan and Gluten-Free diets.

A double occupancy 'Glamping' tent is standard accommodation for the camp. The interior of the tent is furnished with carpets small pieces of furniture and individual beds. There are brand new communal showers at the main building as well as solar powered showering pods at the water sources on the land. On request we can offer a customized setup of sinble or triple occupancy depending on logistics and availability. Please request this option as soon as you book your place in the camp.

The Airports of Malaga and Cadiz/Jerez are a one to two hours drive from the Camp. Cadiz/Jerez is closer but can't be rached so easily with direct flights, whereas Malaga has a much larger airport with many more regular and direct connections into Europe and the world. Presently we are looking into organizing a bus shuttle from Malaga to the camp site. It would be good if participants that need transportation coordinate flight times with the shuttle bus schedule.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

My last retreat at SMC was so inspiring and so relaxing. But i'd love to have more time there to spend at the Stupa, visit the Kami shrine, and generally interact with the beautiful enlightened society happening on that entire land. Brett

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
