About This Event

This 200-hour yoga teacher training is located on the island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico. The program blends the ancient philosophy of yoga science with the contemporary art of teaching yoga as a transformational practice of self-care, health, and wellness. This training program is approved by the National Yoga Alliance and meets the standards for certification through that organization.

The group will meet every day from 07:00 to 17:00 or 18:00, except for Tuesdays. There will be one-hour breaks for eating, resting, and studying. This program includes experiential learning, with information provided via a variety of formats, which include direct participation in the physical practice of asana, lecture, group discussion, reading assignments, alignment demos, and interactive adjustments.

The program is focused on Hatha or Vinyasa yoga. The core focus is yoga of the East and yoga of the West. You will learn to teach more than 60 basic foundational yoga poses, including modifications with props and variations. In addition, you will learn to adapt and teach many of these core asanas as both Restorative supported poses and a variation to teach as a vigorous Vinyasa Flow.

In this yoga teacher training, you will learn yoga as a holistic mind and body inquiry to know oneself and be empowered by the inherent wisdom within. Red Buddha Yoga and Wellness' program stands out for offering:

Meg offers an absolutely extraordinary walk-in Yoga experience - the best I have seen across Mexico (and in many other parts of the world!). Students get a well-travelled, well educated, and highly experienced instructor that provides a kicking, organized, and safe workout. But even more special is Meg's intuitive ability to detect, isolate, and heal what each group and individual seems to need physically, spiritually, and emotionally throughout the practice. On top of that, she offers a stunningly adorned studio with so many personal touches (such as her breathtaking, eastern-inspired musical performance to top off the shavasana) that made the whole experience unforgettable. I was drawn to return to the space again and again during our visit to Isla. Don't miss it!
