Our Bodies, Our Temples: A Garden of the Goddesses Retreat

About us

Our Bodies, Our Temples gives special focus to exploring feminine archetypes and discovering our bodies’ hidden stories.  The retreat balances group writing and sharing sessions with solitary reflection and writing time.  We’ll milk marrow for metaphor, fashion our ribs into story arcs, using a series of movement exercises (including intentional walking, yoga, and hula hoop—all beginner-appropriate) paired with writing and music.  Both casual journal-keepers and seasoned practitioners of writing will benefit from the program’s focus on generative prompts.   When women share our stories, we become, individually and collectively, more possible, empowered.  We gather to join our voices in the sisterhood of rainbow scream to speak the storm to power and make it rain.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

To be more present and engaged in the world, to be of benefit to others. Vincent
