Agama’s 500-hour Teacher Training Course is a 12 week program that prepares you to: teach at Agama’s headquarters in Koh Phangan, Thailand; teach at any Agama Yoga branch worldwide; open your own Agama branch, or teach the Agama curriculum at your own, home-studio.

The 500 HR course combines Agama’s 5-week 200 HR TTC and 7-week 300 HR TTC.

You can only become a fully certified Agama Yoga Teacher after successfully completing the 500 HR ATTC. This certification allows you, directly after graduation, to teach the first three levels of the Agama program and then to continue your advancement as an Agama Yoga Teacher, gradually receiving the empowerment to teach higher levels, workshops, retreats etc.

Supporting you throughout the 12-week course is an inspiring team of Agama Yogis. You will have lectures from the founder of the school - Swami Vivekananda Saraswati - and the opportunity to study with Agama’s most advanced instructors. The complete Agama teaching team is here to support you in your process of evolution, to answer questions, and to hold space on a psychological and emotional level.

“I found the TTC incredibly transformational. I felt like I was on a speedboat to spiritual evolution... The course was so full and so intense. It was very rewarding and also allowed for greatly accelerated progress.” Lisa Yong, Australia (2008) “I had done two teacher training courses in India before I discovered Agama Yoga, but neither left me feeling able to teach once it ended. As I continued my travels across India, I came across Agama and was so impressed with its approach, I knew I wanted to become a teacher of this Yoga. After the TTC, my first thought was: OK, now where are my students?! I finally felt like a Yoga teacher.”

This course is divided into two parts: the first 5 weeks consist of our RYT 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training Course (TTC), and the following 7 weeks consist of our additional RYT 300 HR TTC. Together these two parts create our RYT 500 HR ATTC. You can book these two programs together in advance by applying for the 500 HR ATTC, or you can book them separately, by applying for the 200 HR TTC first, and then upgrading to the 300 HR ATTC, either during or after the 200 HR TTC. Please note that you can save 100 USD by applying to the 500 HR ATTC instead of applying first to the 200 HR TTC and then upgrading. The same 500 HR Yoga Alliance Teacher Certification applies no matter how you choose to complete the hours.
