About us

Bulgaria Venus Tour
Wine & food and Rose Festival.

Dates 2018:
30 May - 3rd June - exact dates tbc

This Venus tour is a great place to relax, heal with beauty and enjoy the great food and local wine.

The tour combines wine tastings, winery visits, cultural heritage sites and the sensational annual Rose Festival of Kazanlak. The festival that takes place every year during the first week of June is one of the most celebrated festivals of the year. Bulgaria is famous for its vast plantations of rose fields and its achievement inbeing the world’s largest rose oil producer. The festivalshowcases the history and tradition of rose growing and rose oil production in the region. The culture, food and music of Bulgaria is celebrated during the festival that is visited by people from all over the world. The ancient city of Plovdiv is the base of the tour.

We will start our tour with a walking tour in Plovdiv that combines a little bit of everything. Get off-the-beaten tourist track and experience the second largest city in Bulgaria like a local. We will sample Bulgarian dishes from the eclectic Bulgarian kitchen. You’ll try traditional pastries, cured meats, local chutneys, Bulgarian cheeses and yogurts. Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

After participating in more yoga classes and events this year than in my entire life, I am yearning for the opportunity to attend a professional retreat. The opportunity to grow my practice, learn from talented students and teachers, and immerse myself in this gorgeous Red Feather Lakes sanctuary is the dream of a lifetime! Sara
