200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Hawaii

About us

200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Therapeutic Elements.

Includes Alignment Based Vinyasa Flow, a bio-mechanically sound alignment framework and the path of Yoga as a framework for holisitic health.

This program offers students in-depth skills to explore Yoga as a vehicle for vibrant health, self-transformation, and personal empowerment. Our curriculum includes a unique blend of alignment based vinyasa flow, a solid foundation in Hatha Yoga and 200 hours of instruction offered within a therapeutic framework.  The instruction will cover a wide range of yoga techniques including yoga postures, anatomy, relaxation, breath awareness, pranayama, meditations to calm the mind, contemplations to transform limiting tendencies into life affirming thought patterns, and the application of clear principles of alignment to create safety, balance and freedom in yoga poses. Students explore concepts from Ayurveda, the Upanishads, Patanjali and the Chakra System as frameworks for the application of yoga as a journey towards radiant health and wellbeing. The asana emphasis includes both level one/two alignment based vinyasa flow sequencing as well as gentler and restorative variations. Rather than offer standard sequencing or rigid methodologies, students are exposed to frameworks that inspire each trainee to adapt the practices, awaken their creativity and find their own authentic voice as a teacher. Graduates of this program feel empowered to teach a variety of yoga class types, including: all levels vinyasa yoga, alignment-based classes, yoga foundations, senior, gentle, and restorative.

TESTIMONIALS FROM PAST GRADUATES

This has been one of the most profound times in my life.  I feel so loved and limitless.  I now have the confidence to cultivate a strong home practice, as well as effectively spread the joy of yoga to others!  I understand yoga on an entirely different level, so much deeper and most importantly I understand myself much more fully.  These three weeks have truly been an amazing journey of self discovery.
-- Emily I., Washington

Liz is a true yogi - she lives the yoga philosophy, which has brought her a deep knowledge about the entire science of yoga. I most enjoyed learning about alignment principles and pose analysis; how to maximize the effectiveness of the pose and minimize the risk for injury.  Liz explained these concepts very clearly and graciously offered personalized attention to all of our poses. This training deepened my understanding of yoga as a comprehensive system of liberation.  I feel empowered to apply this science to enrich all aspects of my life and now I feel I posses the practical and experience knowledge to thrive as an instructor.
--Christopher G., New Hampshire

Accommodations

Hale Lodges
Hale Lodges - pronounced Ha'-lay, Hawaiian for "house" – are two-level Lodges with rooms and shared common areas on both levels. The Hale Lodges are located on the central lawn near the dining lanai, and feature sweeping garden views. Hale Lodge rooms are approximately 200 square feet and can accommodate 2-3 guests. Some rooms have private baths, and our most economically priced rooms have shared baths.

Bungalows
Bungalows are duplex structures that house two rooms of 225 square feet each. High, slanted ceilings and tall screened windows make these inviting dwellings a cozy and free environment. Bungalows house up to two adults or two adults and one child. Each room contains one queen bed and one twin bed, private bath, mini fridge and overlook pastoral or jungle vistas.

Treehouses
Treehouse rooms are nestled under the cool shade of a large Monkeypod Tree, and are designed to invite nature indoors. Screened walls give an outside-in sensation, endowing these rooms with tropical breezes, filtered light and spectacular views. There are five Treehouse rooms featuring private bath, mini fridge, and pastoral vistas.
