About us

"Soul Camp is a summer camp you need to sign up for right now."- Time Out NY

Featured in Inc. Magazine, Forbes, Fortune, Conde Nast Traveler, Travel & Leisure, Parents Magazine, Women's Health Magazine, Good Morning America, Fox News, and so much more, Soul Camp is an experience unlike any other.

Soul Camp is what happens when you mix a traditional summer camp for adults and a spiritual-wellness retreat. From morning reveille to lights out, campers (aged 18+) participate in a range of activities spanning from yoga, meditation, astrology & angel card readings, calligraphy, bootcamp, breath work, arts & crafts, and so much more. It's a time to unplug in the beauty of the Adirondacks and nourish yourself with delicious gourmet food. With the country's most sought-after teachers and a community of open, big-hearted, lively people of all ages, this is an experience you won't want to miss.

I came to my first Soul Camp not even understanding what I was going to. I just knew I needed a little fun and it sounded like a fun little retreat. Little did I know I was going to be shattered into a thousand pieces and put back together again more perfect than when I went into it. And leave with connections, tools and guidance for life. Ali and Michelle are the brilliant souls behind this camp, and you can see every bit of it is a piece of their glorious hearts. It is run with such love that I have never before experienced in my life. After completing my second Soul Camp, I now know this camp lives in my heart forever. It is everything you think it will be, but so much more.

With 10 beds in a cabin, 2 private bathroom stalls, 4 sinks and plenty of underbed storage and cubbies galore, this is the option we recommend to get the most out of camp! Towels and linens are provided. Showerhouses are a close walk from cabins.

Our prviate cabin accomodation offers guests a way to retreat back to their cabin and have some alone time to recharge, complete with a small kicthen and private bath (with shower). The cabins are in a separate area away from the communal cabins, you will feel like you are in your own mountain oasis.

If you are driving, camp is 3.5 hours from New York City. If you can, we suggest driving up on Thursday August 23rd and staying in a hotel the night before camp.

If you are coming from the NY area, you can purchase a ticket on the Soul Camp Bus from NYC by emailing Leaves from midtown West at 6am on August 24th and returns back before 9:30pm on August 26th.

If you are flying, fly into Albany and rent a car to drive to camp (approx. 30 minutes from the airport) OR Fly into EWR, LGA, or JFK and take the Soul Camp bus to camp. We suggest arriving on Thursday, August 23rd in order to make the bus the morning of the 24th

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

After having just completed my RYT 200 I have been inspired to further my yoga journey and my own personal journey inward. I have fallen in love with yoga and how it has changed my life and I just want to continue to explore so I can share this beautiful gift with as many as possible. Jessica

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
