About This Event

The 22 Days, Upaya Yoga 200Hours Teacher Training program is an all-inclusive, Yoga Alliance approved, 200hrs course. The program is especially sketched out by our team of gurus at Upaya to introduce the students to their journey of evolving into expert yogis and able teachers. The course paves a path for its students to transform into a yoga teaching expert and indeed the program includes skilled teachers to provide the students with a strong foundation in Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. We have designed the program to be an enjoyable and enlightening experience. The students need to be ready spiritually and physically as our classes have various rigorous sessions as well as calmer and more healing sessions. We serve and recommend a Saatvik (yogic) diet to expand your sense of well-being.
Bali is a popular tourist destination, which has seen a significant rise in tourists since the 1980s. It is renowned for its highly developed arts, including traditional and modern dance, sculpture, painting, music. Bali, known as ‘Island of the Gods’ draws Yogi’s from all over the world to experience its deep spiritual culture. Bali’s relaxed beach and tropical energy are one of the most sought out places in the world to practice and learn a Yogic Lifestyle. In March 2017, TripAdvisor named Bali as the world’s top destination in its Traveler’s Choice award.
Course content:
The Upaya Yoga 200h Yoga Teacher Training course (YTTC) is aimed at producing skilled and motivating yoga teachers that are proficient in the ancient practices of the yoga sutras and can impart this knowledge to their students. The yoga teacher training curriculum is based on the five pillars of this art which can be understood as the practical application of the traditional paths of yoga. A rigorous daily schedule includes two meditation sessions, two yoga classes followed by lectures, teaching practices, and workshops. The intensive 22 days/ 21 nights program include 2 days off for the attendees to relax, study, and assimilate the learnings.
Our aim is to offer you an in-depth understanding of the art of teaching yoga and clarify each query or confusion that may arise during a class. Students of the Upaya Yoga program get the opportunity to practice and learn the teachings of Hatha yoga, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga Vinyasa, their differences, postures, and reasoning behind each posture.
In the last week of training, students have semi-private classes with a dedicated teacher to work on specific areas of their practice and be ready for graduation.
Why chose Upaya Yoga Bali for your 200-hour YTTC:

Venue Highlights

About the location:
With the beach at our doorstep, Kura Kura is a great location to discover yoga in Bali, connect with nature, be part of the rich way of Balinese daily life and encounter the warmth of the Balinese people. Kura Kura is part of a small fishing village called Seseh. You find us just before the palm tree road through rice fields ends in the Indian Ocean. Although secluded we are close to uptown Seminyak (Kuta area) and one hour of the airport and Ubud.

Around us are many temples, unspoiled rice fields, and little traditional villages. If you want the ‘buzz’: the closest is to walk along the beach to your left where you find Echo Beach, a famous surf spot with restaurants along the shore. Walking to the right along the beach you find quietness and temples.

Seseh is a tiny traditional fishing village tucked away on the Southwest coast of Bali and has managed to retain the cultural spirit of Bali. Still untouched by major tourism. At the beach, you meet Balinese families enjoying the amazing sunsets. Seseh Beach is revered by the Balinese as a sacred beach and is a place where many Balinese go to perform centuries-old ceremonial rituals. It is also notable for its great surfing as Echo Beach about 2KM South of Seseh. More than anything Seseh is a superb location to explore the cultural heritage sites for which Bali was once famous. It is the perfect location to see the real Bali.

The traditional bungalows are equipped with 2 single beds and en-suite bathroom to accommodate 2 students per room.
The private bungalows host a double bed and private bathroom.
