Personal Retreat in Prajna Residence Hall
About This Event
October 15 - April 10
A one-week minimum is required.
Mondays and Fridays are check-in and check-out days.
We are happy to announce that the Prajña Residence Hall will be open for personal retreats during the above dates, pending availability around group retreats. In cases of smaller group retreats, rooms may remain available. This is a great opportunity to do retreat in a supported and comfortable environment. Retreatants will be welcome at morning practice, evening Protector's practice, and Tsog (ritual feasts) or may choose solo practice.
You will have your own spacious room large enough for prostrations and yoga. Each room has a sink with a granite countertop and wood floors with non-toxic natural finishes. There are shared baths and toilets on each floor.
From Monday to Thursday, two cooked meals a day (lunch and dinner) and on Friday one meal (lunch) will be provided in the Community Building. On weekends and at breakfast, meals are self-serve.
The kitchen will be accessible during breakfast and on weekends and at other prearranged times with the Kitchen Manager. Please note that in special circumstances, the kitchen may be closed during the week, and in such cases, meals will be self-serve. There will be an option for a silent table.

Venue HighlightsBordered by the San Juan National Forest and Southern Ute Tribal Land, Tara Mandala Retreat Center is on 700-acres of rolling hills and meadows adorned with many varieties of wildflowers, ponds, and forests. The land itself is a mandala with a stunning peak in the middle surrounded by four valleys. Retreat cabins are scattered across the landscape designed for deep retreat, and at its heart, is the extraordinary three-story Tara temple which celebrates the sacred feminine. The center has a Community Building, where residents and retreatants convene for meals, and other activities.
AccommodationsTara Mandala offers a large residence hall (Prajna Residence Hall) for luxurious accommodations. Rooms have single or double beds. Private or shared bathrooms are available. Toiletries and towels are not supplied, so it is recommended that retreatants please bring their own. Retreatants can stay in one of our two Dorm Yurts. These yurts house 8-10 beds. We also offer a large camp-ground, for those who want to get back to nature for their retreat accommodation. For those who are camping and staying in yurts, showers are available in the Community Building, a short walk away. There are plenty of cubicles in the bathrooms to store your toiletries and personal belongings.

It’s a very special place to participate in retreats, whichever! The whole surroundings of land and people living and working there makes it what it is , a place to learn, practice and live there and of course the presence of two Lamas . A chance to change in a positive way , even crusted staff has a chance to solve.
