About This Event

Chapter 4 of the Rule of St. Benedict is profoundly simple and holds enough challenge to last a lifetime—love the Lord and your neighbor. In this afternoon reflection S. Michaela Hedican OSB, former Prioress of both St. Benedict’s Monastery (St. Joseph, MN) and St. Bede’s Monastery (Eau Claire, WI) offers an engaging look into the wisdom the Rule still offers today. The event is open to both Oblates of St. Paul’s Monastery and anyone who feels drawn to the topic.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

To find peace and renewal while going through a huge change in my life. Empty nest and the end of a 27 year marriage all at once. Susan

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
