About us

Lao Tzu has said:  “Humans are ruled by Nature, Nature by Heaven, Heaven by the Tao (infinite divine energy), and the Tao is ruled by itself.”  To become one with the Tao, we must learn to gradually integrate our natural rhythms — movement by movement, breath by breath.

The 8 Brocades of Silk is a classical Chinese set, the first that Paul Bloom and his teacher Kwan Sai-hung developed a practiced discipline with. Practitioners today use this set to prevent illness, calm the mind, balance the emotions, awaken the spirit, and eliminate any negative energy. With this foundation, the capacity for clarity is boundless!

Expressing our spiritual personality invites us to reveal our innate poetic and aesthetic realities while doing the work of our life.  Everyone has this capacity and we may be surprised by how easily this flow is tapped into. The sweetness of the Taiji Qigong in 18 Movements is in cultivating and effortlessly moving within these natural rhythms —becoming an embodiment of this expression.

In this workshop, we will focus on these two sets, a concise and accessible practice open to all ages and levels of health.

Video links of the practices will be available.

Everyone is welcome!!  No previous experience necessary.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Retreats inspire me to continue to practice and fuel my journey. I always find specified intention and feel it projects me closer to my purpose. Shannon
