Details:

Panama Yoga Training starts Wednesday Oct. 10th at 8am and ends at 12 Noon on Wednesday Oct. 24. Times and dates are firm. You must coordinate your flight into Panama International (on Oct. 9th). ISTMO will provide transportation to and from airport at designated time- cost included in your package! Participants will have one day-time off as training intermission to relax, restore, or engage in fun activities, such as SUP, surfing, and nature walks. ISTMO Yoga and Adventure is located in Playa Grande, San Carlos on the Gulf of Panama. ISTMO is a tranquil destination with an extensive property that includes in-tact rainforest and is the ideal environment for yoga training and adventure.

** It is your responsibility to have a valid passport and insurance for international travel **

I received my 200 hour teacher certification through The Devotional School of Yoga in the Sedona immersion. The detailed instruction, posture workshops, and teaching technique were all right up my alley! In addition to the physical aspects, the challenging personal work helped me feel completely prepared to teach yoga in my community! I also met many wonderful individuals from all over who enhanced my training experience. I would recommend this program to anyone looking for a well rounded education that dives into both the physical and the spiritual heart of Yoga.

Menu/Cuisine

Istmo’s menu has been lovingly crafted by owner and Chef Sean Davis, a graduate of a prominent cooking school in New Orleans, Louisiana. We offer a tropical fusion cuisine that blends influences from Latin America, Caribbean, India, Middle East, the Mediterranean, North Africa, the Far East, South East Asia, Cajun, Southern US, and the Pacific Rim Islands.

Most of our meals are vegetarian or fish and seafood based; however, we can easily accommodate our guests who are gluten-free, vegan or require substitutions because of food allergies.

Our meals are created from what we have grown organically, and supplemented by what we can purchase locally. We make every effort to maintain a light carbon footprint and support local farmers and fisherman, buying the high majority of our produce and seafood within a 20-mile radius. During your morning walk, you may see us down at the beach on Playa Grande, buying the catch of the day for your dinner.
