About us

$2000. 8 nights in a tambo with customised plant dieta, followed by two nights in guest house. 3 ceremonies during the dieta, and one after. Four indiviudal tambos and one large double. Maximum of six guests only to guarantee individual care and attention throughout your retreat.

Schedule

10-day retreat itinerary

Day 1 - 10-10:30am, pick up from your hotel. 20 minutes’ drive to La Medicina. After leaving your luggage in the Guesthouse, an orientation walk around the center. After lunch at 1pm in the Comedor, browse spiritual books for your dieta, and then settle into your Tambo/Guestroom with minimum belongings. Dinner of Fariña (dried yuca) at 7pm in the Comedor, 8:30pm, take the plant drink in Maloca to begin the dieta.

Day 2 - Throughout the dieta, breakfast (8am) and lunch (1pm) are brought to your Tambo. Drink the plants at 5pm in Maloca. The first ceremony begins at 6:30pm in Maloca.

Day 3 - Non-ceremony day. Breakfast (8am) and lunch (1pm) in your Tambo. Drink the plants at 5pm in Maloca. Fariña (dried Yuca) is taken with hot water for dinner in your Tambo.

Day 4 - Breakfast (8am) and lunch (1pm) in your Tambo. Last drink of dieta plants at 5pm in Maloca. The second ceremony at 6:30pm in Maloca.

Day 5 - Laundry pick-up in the morning. Non-ceremony day. Breakfast (8am) and lunch (1pm) in your Tambo. Fariña (dried Yuca) for dinner.

Day 6- Breakfast (8am) and lunch (1pm) in your Tambo. The third ceremony at 6:30pm in Maloca.

Day 7 - Non-ceremony day. Breakfast (8am) and lunch (1pm) in your Tambo. Fariña (dried Yuca) for dinner.

Day 8 – Non-ceremony day. Breakfast (8am) and lunch (1pm) in your Tambo. Fariña (dried Yuca) for dinner. Laundry return.

Day 9 – 7am, the dieta is `Cut´ by salt. Move to the Guesthouse and have shower etc. Breakfast at 8:30am, lunch at 1pm in the Comedor. The fourth and final ceremony at 6:30pm in Maloca

Day 10 – Relaxing day. Breakfast (8am). Weather permitting, medicinal plant walk. Lunch (1pm), after lunch, Medicine Integration talk in the Comedor. Dinner (7pm).

Day 11 – Visit to the Ahuashiyacu waterfall. Breakfast (8:30am). 10:30am, leave La Medicina and drop off in town.
