About us

Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche will be leading a daylong meditation retreat and teaching on the great master Mipham Rinpoche’s Advice for Transforming the Mind on Sunday July 22, 2018 from 10am to 4pm.

This special daylong program will include teachings and guided meditation and is appropriate for all levels.

These popular meditation programs help us understand how to live with less stress, improve our relationships, and enjoy life more fully through meditation. This is a wonderful chance to learn about meditation and to have an opportunity to deepen our practice together in a supportive community.

We are pleased to be holding this event at St. Vincent’s School in San Rafael, California. There is ample parking available at this beautiful location right off Highway 101.

No background with meditation is necessary. Beginners are welcome.

If you wish to pay by cash or check at the door, simply select “Personal Check” as your payment option.

There will be folding chairs and some cushions available. If you have your own cushion, or if you wish to have a pad, pillow, or blanket to place on top of your chair, please bring it.

We ask that you commit to attending the entire day to get the most out of the program.

Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche is a meditation master in the Nyingma lineage of the Buddhist tradition. He studied for nine years at Larung Gar in Serta, Eastern Tibet, with his teacher, Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche, who is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest Dzogchen meditation masters of the twentieth century. Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, is a Lecturer at Stanford University, the founder and spiritual director of Pristine Mind Foundation, and author of  Our Pristine Mind: A Practical Guide to Unconditional Happiness.
