About This Event

The end of the year is generally filled with lots of get-togethers with family and friends. Quite often we are exhausted after the Christmas period and do not find the time to pause and reflect on the past year. In the past years, this end of the year mini-retreat has been very popular as it allows to find some time for yourself and for stillness. 

We will be using the silence to recharge ourselves from the busy period before and to deepen the mindfulness practice. Together we will step out of the busy "doing mode" and switch to being and sensing. We will reflect on what has been helpful and good in the past year and what needs to be changed, replaced by new activities, or added to our life. What are the priorities I would like to set for the coming year? How can I support my healing and growing? How can I find more time for myself again?

While most of the retreat is in silence, there will be some sharing moments to use the wisdom of the group and to encourage each other. 

There will be time for yourself to journal, walk in the beautiful surroundings or simply rest. 

On the first day, I kept falling asleep, but the next day it was already better. I feel much more centered now, more calm. My friends have already remarked it! As a matter of fact, what I’ve noticed is that I don’t worry so much about the hectic times that are coming anymore. Before, I kept picturing in my mind how difficult it was going to be, but now I take things more as they come, and that’s a much calmer state to be in. I have tried to incorporate mindfulness into my daily life, and this kind of retreats really helps.

Venue Highlights

The retreat will take place in "The Abode", a former farm in the peaceful Flemish Pajottenland with sheep and cows around.
The location is a haven of peace and calm. The hosts, Inge and Hugo are yogis and prepare the food with lots of love and care. The food is very tasty, organic and homemade. Tea, coffee, fruit and snacks are available throughout the retreat.


The rooms are spacious, eco-friendly, and very comfortable with private bathrooms.
The beautiful location with its cosy living room, library, the courtyard and the meditation hall are for exclusive use for the participants of the retreat.
