About us

Finding joy may be the most heroic act of our age! Join us for our annual fundraising celebration, an evening of plentiful farm-to-table food, a high-energy dueling piano concert, silent auction, and an exploration of the theme of joy.

In an age of cynicism, pessimism and despair, our joy may be the most important courageous act for social and personal change. We’ll share the ways in which Copper Beech Institute is bringing mindfulness practices and joy to some of the most vulnerable members of our community to help all people reach their fullest potential. Whether we are working with trauma survivors, soldiers returning from war, courageous teens coping with the streets of New Haven, or people bravely facing addictions, Copper Beech Institute is helping people to see that healing, growth, and a bright future is possible.

Our celebration will be hosted by the international Emmy Award-winning journalist Kara Sundlun, co-host of Channel 3’s Better Connecticut and anchor of Eyewitness News at Noon.

Event Tickets are Available at Three Levels:

Supporter – $80 – Includes reception and concert

Partner – $125 – Includes reception, concert and program listing

Sustainer – $150 – Includes reception, concert, mention in program & private champagne reception with Kara Sundlun at 6 p.m.

New York, New York Dueling Pianos will inspire laughter and fun throughout the country with their high energy dueling piano show. Their pianists sing and play everything from Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen, Maroon 5, Billy Joel, Tom Petty, Disney, Bruno Mars, Elvis, Madonna, Ed Sheeran to just about anything else. But most important, their shows celebrate the audience. It’s a clap-a-long, sing-a-long, crazy fiesta with singing, laughter and hi-octane comedy.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

To be more present and engaged in the world, to be of benefit to others. Vincent

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
