Venue Highlights

Vivanta by Taj is nestled on the beautiful private island of Rebak, a 7-minute ferry ride from the mainland of Langkawi. An enchanting eco-chic resort, it sits on 390 acres of gorgeous vegetation and is surrounded by the stunning Andaman Sea. This is the perfect place to get some R&R and restore both body and mind with yoga and meditation.

The resort offers many beautiful spots on the beach or in the garden to practice yoga or simply to explore on your own. Between classes you can enjoy the resort, visit the spa, have a massage, hike through the hills, go swimming or fishing, parasailing or diving, delight in a gourmet meal or simply relax.

An island with tropical climate, stunning rock formations and a lush forest that goes back a 100 million years, Langkawi is a designated UNESCO geopark. It lies about 18.6 miles off the west coast of Malaysia. Langkawi is kissed by beautiful waters that teem with marine life, making it perfect for exciting water sports and recreational activities.

Langkawi is a vibrant, colorful cluster of islands and the restaurants at Vivanta by Taj – Rebak Island, Langkawi certainly keep up. Enjoy meals at Senari, Strait’s Grill and SY69 or pick a cocktail at our lounge bar, Minum Minum. With the ocean as a backdrop, you can savor imaginative cuisine accompanied by "off-the-plate" surprises.

Overlooking the sea, Senari is a haven for its Malay, continental and Indian cuisine. Feel the breeze of the sea as you wine and dine on scrumptious grills at Strait’s Grill. You can also request a romantic dinner for two. The most romantic spot on the island, Moon Deck boasts of bespoke menus, select wines and discreet personal services.


All the rooms at Vivanta by Taj – Rebak Island, Langkawi are a striking mix of modern elegance and traditional Malaysian architecture. Original batik creations hang on the walls, adding to the ambience. The rooms are nestled in wooden chalets and are built using Cengal timber. Enjoy the gentle breeze on the balconies where you will have a great view of the lush tropical forest. All the rooms have a Treat Yourself mini bar, a DVD player, LCD television, 2-line phones, WiFi and newly designed bathrooms with a bathtub. Other amenities include:

Getting to Langkawi is a breeze. Many flights leave each day from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. If you are coming from Thailand, you can also take a ferry. Once you arrive at Langkawi International Airport, you'll be met by the Vivanta Complimentary Airport Shuttle which will take you to the ferry, less than 10 minutes away. There you'll take a pleasant 7-minute ride to Rebak Island.
