Ayahuasca Plant Medicine Courses

Shipibo Plant Spirit Communication

ayahuasca foundation plant medicine course spirit communication ariAyahuasca Plant Medicine Courses are intended for people who feel called to work with plants and plant medicines.  Ayahuasca is such a powerful tool for communicating with the spirits of plants, for building relationships with plant spirits, and for exploring the spiritual dimensions that connect all living beings. The indigenous healing traditions of the Amazon are deep and profound and use a wide variety of plant remedies and treatment methods.  Ayahuasca facilitates the connection to the plant spirits to accelerate learning and understanding how to use plants to treat all the conditions that effect us.  Our new Ayahuasca Plant Medicine Courses are designed for people who feel natural plant medicine is the right path for them.  The goal of the course is to provide the techniques and understanding to connect with plants to find out how best to use them in remedies and treatments.  Ayahuasca continues to get more and more attention throughout the world for its unique properties, but there is not a lot of awareness of all the other plants that combine to form the science of plant medicine.  Every culture throughout the world used  plants to provide healing and balance, and this course seeks to revive plant medicine knowledge in modern culture so that we can regain our connection to nature and the plants that sustain life for the planet.

Ayahuasca Plant Medicine courses are an opportunity to experience the Shipibo tradition of curanderismo and to connect and communicate with over a dozen important medicinal plants within the tradition. This course is a introduction to plant communication and the practice of medicine preparation and administration. The course takes place at our original retreat center, the Chamisal healing retreat and education center, a space designed specifically for healing afflictions and conditions naturally using medicinal plants. If you feel called to learn the ancient healing traditions of ayahuasca and plant medicine, this course is a wonderful place to begin. Even if you are already on the path to become a healer, this course will strengthen your connection and communication with plant spirits, helping you to deepen your understanding and work with plants in your home environment.

Shipibo Maestro don Ronor

Healer, Teacher, Course Leader

ayahuasca foundation don ronor shipibo maestro curandero peruDon Ronor Lopez has been leading the Ayahuasca Foundation retreats for the last three years and has constantly demonstrated his affinity for teaching program participants about the plants and demonstrating how he makes their remedies.  He is part of a very unique and distinguished lineage within the Shipibo indigenous tradition, thanks to his awareness of and connection to the sacred Noya Rao tree.  His understanding of plant medicine is always growing due to his insatiable curiosity for learning more and connecting more deeply with plant spirits.  He is assisted by a member of the Mishana community, Ari, who has been studying Shipibo plant medicine for seven years but whose own knowledge of plants was passed on to him by his parents and grandparents.  Together with the facilitators don Ronor happily shares his knowledge and insights and creates the perfect environment for personal exploration, respecting program participants abilities to connect and learn in their own way.  By guiding course participants to discover and develop deep relationships with his own medicinal plant allies, don Ronor provides a path to further deepen your relationship with your own plant allies and to create new allies with more and more plants after the course. It is such an honor to work with Ronor and Ari and the plethora of magnificent plants that have been introduced to us.

CHAMISAL Healing and Education Center

ayahuasca foundation healing education center in PeruThe Ayahuasca Foundation has operated the Chamisal Healing and Education Center for over eight years, constantly developing the space and the land to better suit the needs of the programs.  We recently began a project to create an extensive botanical garden specifically for this course.  This garden will constantly grow and adapt along with the evolution of the course material as it will serve as the heart of the plant medicine course.  Students will practice gardening in this space, meditation with specific plants, learning about sustainability and permaculture, and working with plants from the ground to the process of making the remedies, to administering the plant medicine, to experiencing the healing effect on a personal and spiritual level.  In addition to the curandero and assistant course leaders, the center is located just a short walk from the Mishana community who have farms and have never lost their intimate connection and dependence to plants in their daily lives.
