About us

Shut down and shut up.

You are online and "on" all the time. Now its time to shut down ans shut up.

Join us on an exclusive silent retreat designed for 10 ladies. The challenge, should you choose to accept, will bring you many rewards.

There is overwhelming evidence that exposure to environmental noise has adverse effects on the health of the population. Think of how we've bound ourselves to living a perpetually noisy existence whether it’s from out TVs, computers, or cell phones.

This is more than just a much-needed vacation away from work to recharge, these bouts of forced silence are actually proven to be good for your health. Spending time in silence, has shown to reduce stress and increase overall happiness and awareness. One study revealed that just two minutes of silence can actually effect blood pressure and blood circulation in the brain, putting your body in a more relaxed state than say if you were listening to mellow music. And some have suggested that being quiet for stretches of time can actually help regenerate brain cells, which is being studied for the treatment of Alzheimer’s.

The space is exotic: Ghana. Come.and enjoy this small corner that has been created for retreats, located in the countryside - away from all of the bustle.

Check your phones in or leave them at home.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

My inspiration is a desire to gain a deeper connection to and understanding of myself, something that I've been working hard on for so long and will continue to do in the future. I view a retreat as a wonderful way to focus entirely on this without the distractions of every day life! Nicola

Retreat Guru's Vision

Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
