About This Event

WELCOME | VELKOMINN

Charged particles collide with the earths magnetic field in an excited state. It’s not until the protons achieve a lower, more relaxed energy state that the stream of lights flare in the sky creating the scene for Northern Lights. Find what illuminates you in moments of peace and relaxation in this unique Icelandic setting. The Arctic Illumination Retreat will focus on our ever changing selves. Just as Iceland offers a constantly changing and awe inspiring landscape, we can recognize in ourselves that nothing is predictable or permanent. Come to learn and appreciate the here and now and bring focus to your well being along our Iceland adventure. Experience natural hot springs, the search for Northern Lights, food that only Iceland has to offer – a week of rejuvenation and outdoor bliss!

“I went to Iceland with Drishti Journeys in the fall and it was amazing. When I look back at the photos I’m still in awe of how beautiful it is and how much we got to see in a short time there. Having Reinier to show us around and what I like to call “Get us right to the good stuff” was great, I was able to just relax, sit back and Enjoy Iceland.”

– Chuck Betker, Iceland Retreat 2017

I've gone on many retreats (and travelled quite extensively) and usually there is always something disappointing in a group (contact info blocked) but this trip went above and beyond ALL my expectations (and I'm very particular!). The information that I received before traveling was (contact info blocked) Reinier answered all my questions thoughtfully and (contact info blocked) the travel there and transfers all went (contact info blocked) I felt heard when I had any questions or concerns. - Stephany R. Simonelli (2017 Patagonia Retreat Attendee)

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

To reconnect with my inner self, found ground through the movement of my body and breath. Awake. Jane

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
