About us

Resilience is our ability to adapt and respond to stressful situations and to adjust to the inevitable ups and downs of life’s 10,000 joys and the 10,000 sorrows. It is a quality of being that allows us to better weather the storms that come our way — to bounce back, take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’, cope, and thrive even better than before!

Resilience is a skill that one can learn, cultivate, and develop. The latest studies in the science of the brain’s neuroplasticity show that practicing mindfulness we can develop new neural pathways that enhance resilience.

A key principle in effectively dealing with stress is that it is not just what’s happening that is important, it’s how we perceive it, and how we choose to relate, respond, adapt and adjust to it. Do you view difficulty and change as setbacks? Or can you learn to view them as an opportunity for learning, self-reflection and growth?

In this weekend retreat, we’ll explore and develop the ten qualities and characteristics of the mind and heart that enhance resilience. You’ll learn how to enhance and strengthen your resilience with the practices of mindfulness and to hold difficulties with a compassionate heart. Ultimately, this can help you not only get through hard times but learn from them and thrive in their midst.

“Serenity is not freedom from the storm, it is peace amidst the storm.”

Tuition is $250 plus accommodations.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

It would my first vacation in the mountains. I think getting away and beginning a new routine would be good for me and a friend. Dianne
