About This Event
Breathing Space Retreats happen all year round and take place on the beautiful volcanic island of Lanzarote 60 km off the coast of Morocco in the Atlantic Ocean.
The inspiration for the retreat was to create a sanctuary-like space where you can go deep into your journey knowing that all practical aspects of your stay have been managed on your behalf leaving you free to give yourself some quality time and attention using the vehicle of the Breath to facilitate your journey. From the moment you step off your flight to the moment when you are dropped off at the airport on completion of your stay we
The retreat has an air of calm and a lot of space so you can be as sociable or not as you like. Days are filled with individual breath sessions with Alan as well as bodywork session and later in the day a group breathe. Guests are encouraged to initiate a self-practice while on retreat with the objective being to be able to ´fly solo´ competently and safely by the end of the stay.
We have consciously chosen to limit numbers at the retreat ( maximum 4 at any one time ) to allow for maximum individual attention and space in which to enjoy your journey with us.

AccommodationsAll rooms have ensuite bathrooms and are furnished to a high standard. This is definitely not roughing it. There is a variety of accomodation to suit different budgets.
Skyview has an atrium through which its possible to lie in bed and look at the stars and a high spec bathroom including a shower unit whihc can covert to a steam room should you wish for some extra detoxification.
The Suite is twice the size of Skyview incorporating a bedroom and an additional room which has a day bed for lounging. Both rooms have sliding doors onto the pool terrace and the day bed can be converted into a very comfortable bed. frineds or family travelling together often choose this option-
The Loft is in a separate building next to the pool terrace and is our premium accomodation. As the name suggests there is a lot of space and wonderful views down to the Ocean. The indonesia teak four poster beds sets the tone for the furnishing which are an eclectic mix from around the world. There is a lounge area as well as the sleeping area and even a space for massage and / or yoga. On entering the Loft there is a tangible feeling of peace and tranquility.

Menu/CuisineOur Chef grows a lot of our food herself and is very passionate about producing delicious appetizing food light years ahead of what most people are expecting from a vegetarian diet.
Breakfast : An apple/ginger shot followed by a ´power´ smoothie using hemp, maca ,cacao, bananas and rice milk as well as other goodies.
Lunch : a selection of raw salads which can be eaten as and when you feel ready - there is no set lunch time as we are all on differing schedules
Dinner : a more substantial cooked meal eg Lentil Lasagne / black and white bean casserole / vegetable masala ( not spicy)
Snacks : there are always snacks and fruit should you find yourself in need between meals
