Healing Visions- Art & Medicine Retreat

About us

As for the Art Workshop side of things I will be teaching you as much as I can about my personal art techniques and lifestyle to help you become a better artist in any way I can. I am also happy to have 2 amazing amazonian artists offer guest workshops to teach you how they go about their own paintings.
My goal is to make you overflow with inspiration, so you will create some of your best work yet and carry that energy into the rest of your practice!

I thank the grace of the universe for this blessing, to allow myself to under my purpose and the love within me. Gracias Pachamama, big hug to all the family at katari center Sarah B.

Venue Highlights

Katari is an Indigenous Plant Medicine Center, nested in the middle of the virgin Amazonian jungle, which caters to people in search of deep personal growth at a physical, mental, and spiritual level.

Many of our guests have experienced:

Purification, regeneration and harmonization on corporal and mental dispositions
Clarity about life path and new perspective on personal issues
Emotional liberation, renovation of vital energies
Healing of sub acute or chronic diseases
Awakening of own spiritual strength
Connection with nature inside and outside
Facing ones fears or other types of blockage
A new sense of peace and happiness to their life.
Since everybody disposes of his or her own nature, there is no general result of the programme – they are as various and colourful as the persons that attend them

We do not have hot water or electricity with the aim of removing all distractions from the material world allowing you to go within and process whatever is coming up.

There is a beautiful river running through Katari and the 6 hectare property is wonderful to explore. The natural beauty of the jungle is breathtaking and you will be surrounded by wildlife.

Katari Center is situated at 20 minutes by car from the city of Tarapoto, in the road to Yurimaguas.

Flight from Lima – Peru (1hr 20mins) or a Coach (20hrs)

When you arrive in Tarapoto, we can pick up you directly at the airport and bring you at the center.

Thank you!

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

This sounds like a dream! I am an education student and I have spent way too much time working all summer to pay for school. My boyfriend of 5 years is a government firefighter and has been away working most of the summer. His 30th Birthday and our 6th anniversary is coming up this winter, we would love to celebrate with a yoga retreat! We both love yoga but have barley had time to practice in the past few months. Keeping our fingers crossed! Jaimee and Dan
