About us

One week of Spanish immersion in the quiet, picturesque surfing town of Playa Grande, Costa Rica.  You will have Spanish classes for 3 hours a day (20 hours per week).  You will get Spanish language instruction to fit your level and then be able to use it with all the locals in town.  You will go home with a plethora of new material to continue your quest for Spanish perfection.  

There will be surf classes included, taught in Spanish.  There will also be a canoe tour on the estuary to look for crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas, and birds.  Playa Grande is situated in the Leatherback Marine National Park so there will be a chance to see turtles as well.

Venue Highlights

We are conveniently located at the center of town in Playa Grande, Costa Rica. The Spanish that you will learn at Indra Inn can be used with any of our neighbors or any of the shops or restaurants in town. So it will be a true immersion experience. We will offer surfing lesson as well so that you can enjoy some of the most consistent surf in Costa Rica. The water is warm and the sun is shining.

Schedule

Breakfast will be from 7:30 until 9am. Then we will have 2 hours of Spanish class with a 15 minute break. Then lunch. Then surf. Then an additional hour of Spanish in the afternoon. Then dinner.

Menu/Cuisine

Breakfast will be a bowl of fruit, coffee or tea, eggs and toast or yogurt and granola or gallo pinto (rice and beans). There is also orange juice.

Lunch and dinner will be at different venues. Both within one minute walking of the retreat center.

Accommodations

The private rooms have a queen bed. The shared rooms have a queen bed and a bunk bed. There is a large, comfortable bathroom in each room with a warm water shower. There are modern A/C units and ceiling fans as well. There is a hammock, a Guanacaste wood table and chairs in the terrace in front of the rooms.

Directions

We will have a shuttle for you at the airport in Liberia. If you fly into San Jose, there will be an additional charge of $50.
