About us

Come onboard and join us on a magical yoga and wellbeing retreat on Mantamae Charter. Enjoy a simple yet intense program that emcompasses morning awakenings of the body, breathing exercises, free body workouts, meditations, sequences of postures and moments of deep knowledge. The teacher will draw on Eastern wisdom (both Indian and Chinese) from 20 Years of study and practice, to create a tailor-made path of you. Though intense, the retreat will have moments of sharing and lightness, of personal or group relaxation, of exploration above and below water. Moments shared at dinner, in the creative kitchen of Karen or after dinner in conversation with the stars or in ecstatic dance.

The biodiversity is just amazing with weird and rare underwater creatures everywhere you look and many new species have been discovered over the last few years in the archipelago.

Sattvic foods are therefore pure, clean and wholesome.
A sattvic diet consists of food that gives life, strength and energy to the individual. Yoga practitioners make use of the sattvic diet to support the practices of anushasanam, which means the governing of ones subtle nature and the quieting of the mind, this is not just for the health of the body.
They are light in nature, easy to digest, mildly cooling, refreshing and not disturbing to the mind. the way it is prepared is relevant, it should be in a positive mood and the food is best prepared in a state of love and awareness.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

My inspiration is to find some very much needed solace away from the stress of raising 4 children, working (as a dietitian) and trying to get my private nutrition counseling practice launched. I am a registered yoga instructor and have practiced for over 10 yrs, and have always dreamed of taking a yoga retreat just for my own inner well being. Linda

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
