About This Event

Unspoken Boundaries is an experiential workshop retreat. The object is to assist the participants in becoming aware of their energetic boundaries with other people and to learn energy hygiene to keep their boundaries clean and healthy.

Through numerous exercises over the five days and lots of question and answers, it will change your perception of boundaries with other people.  Everyone has been infected by another’s bad mood, rage or negative energy. While we sometimes notice the big stuff, most people miss the smaller things that can have a significant impact. This workshop will increase your awareness of this negative energy transfer and what to do about it.

Part of the focus of the workshop is to confront the reasons that keep us from holding good boundaries with people. Through the exercises, beliefs and old ways of being will come to the surface so they can be addressed and even resolved. It is a powerful healing experience with an active spiritual component.

To support working with our energetic boundaries the retreat will also include daily instruction and practice of Tai Chi and Qi Gong.

This workshop will introduce you to these traditional internal energy cultivation practices renowned for their focus on relaxation, fluid movement and multifold healing benefits. Tai Chi is the balancing of Yin and Yang, the various interacting forces in nature and in our own bodies and lives.

Through Tai Chi and Qi Gong you will learn to understand and feel the natural, healthy structure of your bodies and life-nourishing energy. This more balanced and relaxed state physically, energetically and with enhanced body mind sensitivity and subtle awareness will help you better manage your energy in all aspects of your life, and be more in touch with your inner and outer experience.

Sign up now, the deadline to be a part of this exciting workshop is Nov 5th.

I am already experiencing the effects of reclaiming my space, my power, and defining where I stop and others energetic field begins. I highly encourage anyone facing emotional, psychological, spiritual, or karmic blocks to consider a ‘lovingly powerful way out’ through Merle’s workshop intensive.” — HP – Carpinteria, CA

Venue Highlights

Set between a tropical jungle mountainside and the rolling waves of the Pacific Ocean, Mar de Jade is surrounded by natural beauty and absolute tranquility.
We believe in the transformative power of retreats and are committed to providing a sacred space for this important work.
Meals are carefully prepared daily from scratch using fresh, local and when possible, organic produce and ingredients. Many vegetables, fruits and legumes come from our own 17-acre Organic Farm. The menu is mainly vegetarian with chicken and seafood options. We are also happy to accomodate special dietary needs and allergies.
Each of our three retreat halls feature hard wood floors and breath-giving views of the ocean.
We have two dining halls which offer incredible sunsetviews of the ocean. One is a spacious and breezy outdoor pavilion where buffet meals are served. The other is a cozy, inner dining room for intimate gatherings. Take in the ocean breeze while sipping on a tropical beverage of your choice at our bar, "la Palapa", featuring smoothies, fresh juices, espresso & cappuccinos, local beers, wine & unique cocktails.

All of Mar de Jade’s rooms are unique and offer different styles, views and characteristics. Rooms fall into the following categories:

Ocean Rooms have an unobstructed Ocean view and a balcony or terrace. Most of the rooms have bathtubs, and some have a separate shower. All of them have futons and some have a separate sleeping space (appropriate for children). Most are on third and fourth floors and require steps to climb.

Garden Rooms have a view of our lush tropical gardens and a terrace or outside sitting area. They are all on ground floor, some have a few steps and some have ramp access. All have bathtubs; some also have a separate shower and a futon.

Guest Rooms are more basic, without an outdoor area and most face the jungle or gardens. They do have a/c and most have showers.
